ChessIQ stands on a deep stack of open-source software and public chess data. The projects below make this product possible.

Stockfish

The world's strongest open-source chess engine. ChessIQ uses Stockfish for every position evaluation, every move classification, and every blunder it surfaces. Lichess

ChessIQ reads from the public Lichess API for player games, the opening explorer, the masters database, and the Syzygy tablebase. Lichess is a free, open-source chess server run by a non-profit; their source code is published under the GNU Affero General Public License v3. The Lichess puzzle database we use is released into the public domain (CC0). If Lichess is useful to you, consider supporting them.

Chess.com

ChessIQ reads from the public Chess.com Published Data API to import the games you authorize us to import on your behalf. Chess.com is a registered trademark of Chess.com, LLC. ChessIQ is independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Chess.com.

chess.js

Move generation, validation, and PGN parsing in the browser. github.com/jhlywa/chess.js. BSD-2-Clause.

react-chessboard

The interactive chessboard component. github.com/Clariity/react-chessboard. MIT.
